Cephalopholis taeniops (Valenciennes, 1828)
This beautiful Tropical Grouper lives in the Atlantic Ocean, reaching a maximum of about 40 cm in length.
The species is common in West Africa, and it is slowly irradiating in the Mediterranean Sea.
His presence in the Mediterranean was already reported in 2007.
In 2009 it was also found in Pelagic Islands (Pelagie). It is currently an unprotected species.

Now we can include this species in the list of living fish in the Mediterranean.
