Already in Renaissance these braziers were used to keep even temperature overnight, in the orangeries. The braziers were fed with small pieces of charcoal. They have to replace the sfupply of charcoal every 4/5 hrs, this meant that over the winter time, after sunset, it was taken place at least 3 times at night. Base diameter 28cm.
