Ancient fireplace slab depicting the Last Supper: Jesus' supper with the apostles at the Upper Room during Passover, preceding his death.
Above the inscription Ålshult, a Swedish foundry opened in 1634 called Ålshult's Ironworks in the homonymous town of Ålshult. A Dutch couple, named van Gent, started the business and produced various manufactured iron and cast iron works, including cannonballs and this fireplace slab. The foundry closed in 1827.
