Double-sided Napoleonic-era empire stone basin with rings and rosettes

Original

VERY RARE double-sided empire stone bathtub with rings.
This is the only original tub we have found in 40 years that has the "DOUBLE SIDED" ring sculpture.
The tub is made of limestone from Monte Serra (Lucca and Pisa).
In the center of the two long sides, beyond the two classic rings, there is a beautiful large rosette with 6 petals, also repeated on the two short sides. This artifact was conceived as an ornamental garden basin, not as a normal bathtub and was presumably placed in front of the house, in the center of a portion of the garden.
