Bench produced in Edinburgh in Scotland, in the mid-19th century by Charles D. Young & c.
The originals for the molding are acquired through a well-known English antique dealer specialized in antique garden furniture.
The bench depicts an ensemble of grape shoots with leaves and bunches.

This model is found exclusively in Great Britain, sometime in USA, it is rare and very expensive, usually it is beaten by the English auction houses with figures ranging between 5,000 £ and 8,000 £, this only for the sofa, in the case of a complete set of 1 sofa and two armchairs always exceed £ 10,000.

The bench is made up of 11 pieces, made with 8 different molds, the realization of this ancient set was not easy.

American. It is very unusual to find a bench this small. Hobensack and Keller. PAUSE
Myra Yellin mentions America as origin but does not refer to the production which was certainly Scottish, this model was exported to America by C.D. Young & Co in the second half of the 1800s.
