The coat of arms of Vatican City is the heraldic emblem of the independent State of Vatican City.
It is officially described in Article 20 of the Fundamental Law of the Vatican City State, in force since 22 February 2001, which takes up the content of Article 19 of the original Fundamental Law of the Vatican City, adopted on 7 June 1929. Both of these official documents present the illustration of the coat of arms of the State accompanied by the words «Decussate keys surmounted by the triregnum on a red field» under the heading "Annex B. Official coat of arms of the Vatican City State".
