Renata of Bourbon-Montpensier (1494 - Nancy, 26 May 1539) was a French princess who later became Duchess consort of Lorraine.
Renata di Borbone was the daughter of Gilberto of Bourbon-Montpensier, count of Montpensier, dolphin of Auvergne, count of Clermont-en-Auvergne and viceroy of Naples, and of Chiara Gonzaga.
He was given in marriage to Duke Antonio of Lorraine whom he married in Amboise on June 26, 1515.
The duchess reportedly did not have the strength to exert any political influence in the duchy.
However, his Italian taste is known, and it was said to have brought "the graces and refinement of the Mantuan court" in Lorraine.
The flowering of the arts that took place in Nancy during the reign of Anthony was attributed to her.

She was the daughter of Chiara Gonzaga (Mantua 1 July 1464 - Auvergne, 2 June 1503) who was in turn the daughter of the marquis of Mantua Federico I Gonzaga and Margherita of Bavaria.
One of his sons was Charles III, Duke of Bourbon, who led the Imperial army sent by Emperor Charles V against Pope Clement VII, in what was the Sack of Rome, and where he was subsequently killed.
Chiara is one of the characters in the Heptameron, written by Margherita d'Angouleme, sister of King Francis I.
